Train number three is waiting at one of the tracks of the small workshop. The von Roll or Lamella system uses Strub rack rails and points but the trains could run on Riggenbach rails as well (used on Schynige Platte and Appenzellerbahn). There is no adhesion drive so the workshop rails are fitted with rack rails too. Legend holds the trains are of so high quality that even a repaint wasn't necessary in forty years. They wear a brand new pantjob nowadays though which appears to be of very good quality as well. The big boxes shelter the moving and electric components of the switches from heavy snow.
