They say that dividing a line in two halves is the first step towards closing the line but it’s untrue. It may be so with the Szilvásvárad-Putnok line but not with the Abaújszántó-Hidasnémeti and the Fehérgyarmat-Zajta: here a sole Bzmot is enough for the passangers so we spare fuel and the integrity of the weak track the Rattler would endanger by providing a connection from Mátészalka to Zajta only with a transfer. Most passangers only come till Fehérgyarmat either direction.
