This goods train might have had a helper till Gloggnitz, and as it's with the Südbahn, it still runs on the left side.
The two red lights are the exit signal and the platform halving signal - the latter allows two short trainsets (Talents or Desiros) to arrive to the same platform from the opposite or the same directions thus occupying less space. As the Austria Indusi safety system is capable of stoppng a train more precisely than the Hungarian EVM it's perfectly safe to come in with 40 kph and coupling two trains to go on together is very smooth and effective.
