The MÁV 6342 014-5 Desiro with a charter train at Vác station

Twice, in 2008 and 2009. there was a joint Slovakian-Hungarian Railway Day at Szécsény and a special train with a Desiro went there from Budapest. The Slovakians came with various historic trains while the Hungarians brought many different locomotives to exhibit at the station. This first time the railcar had to take the more problematic route switching back at Vác, Galgamácsa and Balassagyarmat as the direct line over Diósjenő had axle load problems.
